November: Hospitality

Hospitality: hospitable treatment, reception, or disposition : the act of being friendly and welcoming to guests and visitors

Sometimes, hospitality is a beautiful tablescape with flowers and the fancy glasses. Sometimes, it’s saying yes to a spontaneous drop-in even though laundry and dishes are piled high. Sometimes, hospitality is for those you know best; other times, it’s for strangers on the street.

Tell us about a time when you experienced hospitality at its finest—warmth, welcoming, and acceptance that changed you. Or, tell us about someone who has the gift of hospitality—always creating space to care for others. Tell us about a dream get-together, a favorite recipe, a setting of cozy slippers and fall candles. How does the word hospitality make you feel? How can you be hospitable with what you have and the people right in front of you?
